Zusammenfassung:Primary and secondary air is divided into coaxial annular streams, after which the neighbouring primary-air annular streams (1, 1) are deflected tangentially in relation to the longitudinal axis of the combustion chamber and at the same time in the opposite direction also. The deflected primary-air annular streams are at the same time supplied into the combustion zone (6) of the combustion chamber with the fuel and with a part of the coaxial secondary-air annular streams (2). The annular combustion chamber for implementing this method contains elements (17, 18) which bring about the deflection of the primary air in a tangential direction, and the elements (34, 35) for the supply of the secondary air arranged between the elements (17, 18) for the supply of the primary air and concentric annular flame pipes (11, 12) which delimit the combustion chamber. Under such conditions, the length of the combustion zone in the combustion chamber can be shortened considerably.
