Zusammenfassung:	1-Aryloxy-3-N-aminopropanes substituted on the nitrogen atom, of the formula I < IMAGE > in which the symbols R1, R2, R3, R4 and R5 have the meaning given in Patent Claim 1, are prepared by reacting an appropriately substituted phenol with an azcetidinol of the formula < IMAGE > The process products are distinguished by a beta -adrenolytic action and can be employed, for example, for the treatment or prophylaxis of disorders of the coronary vessels and for the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias, in particular of tachycardias, in human medicine. The hypotensive properties of the compounds are also of therapeutic interest.
