Use of novel acylphenoxypropanesulphonic acids and salts thereof in sweetener preparations

Compounds of the formula I are used as a substitute for saccharin and cyclamate in sweetener preparations. The compounds of the formula I are highly water-soluble, heat-resistant and acid-resistant, nontoxic, have high sweetening power and do not have an aftertaste.
