Brush link on an electrical machine

The brush link contains contact surfaces (5) of switching elements (4) of the live plates (2), and the contact surface (9) of a switching element (8) of the brush holder block (1), which are of flat design and lie in a plane where contact is made. The brush link furthermore contains attachment means for the brush holder block (1) on the brush link, which has latches (23) and an elastic element (22). Leaf springs are provided, the first leaf spring being attached rigidly at one end to the housing (6) of the brush holder block (1) and, at the free end, stopping against the side surface of the brush, the second leaf spring stopping at one end against an insulation plate which is rigidly connected to the switching element (8) of the brush holder block (1), and being coupled at the other end to the first leaf spring. Such a brush link ensures a reliable contact between the switching elements of the brush set and the stationary live plates, as well as simple attachment and removal of the brush set.
