Electrical connector for connecting conductor tracks on two substrates which are spaced apart from one another and are essentially parallel

The electrical connector is used for connecting conductor tracks on two parallel printed-circuit boards (4, 10). A multiplicity of contact elements (18) are arranged on a base body (1). The contact elements form part of a contact strip (9) in the case of which the contact elements (18) are constructed as contact springs which support a film (19) consisting of dielectric material. The contact springs (18) have sufficient flexibility to produce the necessary contact pressure but are nevertheless sufficiently stiff to be able to support the film of insulating material in a predetermined shape.
