Zusammenfassung: | Oily hormone extracts to be added to oils, creams, emulsions and cosmetics generally are obtd. from teh fatty tissues of insects in general and esp. from the chrysalises of leipdoptera, in a series of steps:- (a) the matter to be treated is dried; (b) it is powdered; (c) it is mixed iwth a material capable of providing a porous support; (d) the oil is extd. under pressure; (e) the oil obtd. is macerated with other fatty liquids; (f) the product is enriched in the active substances stimulating growth and biological activity, which are described collectively as 'the youth factor', by repeating phase (c) and (g) the product is decoloured and deodourised.Dermatological tests have proved the beneficial effects of these oils, and the oil extd. by this method is mcuh clearer than that obtd. by the use of solvents, so that it is better suited for use in cosmetics. |
