(d) of the bore of the nozzle. In the pref. nozzle, X = 2.5d-3.5d, and the nozzle bore is a cone tapering towards the outlet, whereas the supersonic bore of the insert employs a cone on its outlet. High cutting speeds can be attained with cut edges of high quality, but the nozzle is simpler and less expensive to mfr. than conventional nozzles. |
