Zusammenfassung:	Fixing artificial finger- (or toe-) nails in place by coating the underside of the artificial nail (I) with a paint incorporating a catalyst (II) for curing a thick, adhesive paste (III) which is applied to the finger or natural nail to secure (I), where (III) is pref. an acrylic resin based on methyl methacrylate containing 0.9-1.0% wt. tertiary amide (N,N-dimethyl-p-toluidine) (IV) which reacts with a suitable cocatalyst e.g. benzoyl peroxide (II') in the varnish on the underside of (I) to cure the adhesive. Preferably the thick, adhesive paste is pigmented to match the nail so that excess paste may be squeezed out around the edge of the preformed nail and trimmed to fit the finger (nail) shape exactly. Esp. for securing artificial nails of type described in basic patent application.
