In a watch regulator comprising a rotatable arm 20 having an aperture 22 through which passes a hairspring 17 whose outer end is fixed at 18 to a bridge 16, an adjustable means 23 is provided which presses the hairspring 17 radially inward against an edge of the aperture 22. The arrangement is stated to permit the watch to maintain its initial rate. The means 23 may comprise a screw having a flat 27 on its head 24, or alternatively a bendable arm (21b), Fig. 3 (not shown) integral with the regulator arm (20a) and having an end face (31) pressing against the hairspring.
