Zusammenfassung:	1347335 Spinning apparatus FARBWERKE HOECHST AG 23 Sept 1971 [23 Sept 1970] 44433/71 Heading B5B Apparatus for spinning melts or solutions of synthetic polymers comprises a filter pack 1, metal sieve plates 2, distributer plate 3 and spinneret plate 5, the gap between the distributer and spinneret plates being filled or partially filled by an inert fine-pored coherent medium 4, suitably a sintered porous metal or metal fleece or one or more metal mesh sieves having a mesh number in the range 50 to 40,000 meshes per sq. cm., which does not melt or decompose at the spinning temperature. The apparatus may be used with all high polymers which can be spun from a melt or solution, the melt-spinning of polyethylene terephthalate filaments is exemplified.
