1305756 Sulphanilamido-pyrazines and -pyridazines CHINOIN GYOGYSZER-ES VEGYESZETI TERMEKEK GYARA RT 16 April 1970 [23 April 1969] 18248/70 Heading C2C Novel compounds I (including salts thereof) where R is an optionally substituted aromatic or heterocyclic radical and Y is halo- and/or alkoxy-substituted-pyrazinyl or -pyridazinyl, with the proviso that if R is unsubstituted phenyl then Y cannot be alkoxy-substitutedpyridazinyl, are made by (1) reacting RCHO with p-NH 2 .C 6 H 4 .SO 2 NH.Y, (2) by reacting RCHO with p-aminobenzenesulphonamide and subsequently reacting the product so obtained with AY (A is a reactive group or atom) and (3) reacting a compound I wherein R is an alkyl or substituted alkyl or an undesired aromatic or heterocyclic radical which is optionally substituted, with RCHO where R has the significance indicated for the novel compounds above. Pharmaceutical preparations showing, in particular, anti-coli and coccidiostatic activity contain I as active ingredient; administration is orally, rectally or parenterally.
