Zusammenfassung:1335292 Travelling wave shed looms VYZKUMNY USTAV BAVLNARSKY 21 April 1971 [28 April 1970] 10326/71 Headings DIE and DIJ In a travelling wave shed loom a bobbin 14 in each shuttle 1 is rewound with sufficient weft for one pick by one of a plurality of weft metering devices 9 circulating around a closed path 61, the weft being extended across the top of the bobbin 14 by clamping jaws 907 and guide 906 as the shuttle arrives under a metering device, and wound onto the bobbin by lowering and rotating a driving disc 910 to clamp the weft, and simultaneously rotate bobbin 14. When the shuttle leaves the filling device, clamps 907 release the weft and rise, and when the shuttle has moved away are lowered again and regrip the weft, Fig. 14. When the shuttle enters the shed, weft is gripped by grippers 15 at the edge of the fabric and cut by scissors 17. The end 32 trailing from clamps 907 is pulled back by a pivoted arm 913 which move back as a clamp 10 clamps the weft to prevent more yarn being pulled off the supply package. The shuttle bobbin 14 is housed in a recess of the bobbin which communicates with the exterior of the side wall of the shuttle by way of a slot 104, an elongated aperture 105, also extends longitudinally of the shuttle, in which a yarn brake, such as a leaf spring may be housed. The shuttles 1 may be transported outside of the shed by a travelling magnetic field. (For Figures see next column)
