Zusammenfassung: | Oligomerising tetrafluoroethylene (TFE) by contacting TFE in anhydrous conditions with at least one source of fluorine, viz. fluorides of K, Rb, Cs, or a quaternary ammonium radical, the fluoro-acids of K, Rb, r Cs, r the fluorinated salts giving rise to F ions, so as to produced branched-chain, internally unsaturated perfluoro-olefins, preferably of formula (C2F4), where n = 4-7. Carrying out the reaction at 30-170 deg.C in an inert solvent, particularly dimethylformamide, using 0.1-15% of CsF relative to weight of TFE, under super-atmospheric pressure. |
