Conical lightweight mast - of spiral jointed thin metal tube and plastic filler
A tapering mast, esp. for telephone or lighting poles, comprises a spirally jointed tube, pref. of 0.5-1.5 mm. thick steel plate, filled partly or wholly with plastic bonded to its inner surface. Prefd. plastics are foamed polystyrene or polyurethane.
