Zusammenfassung: | 1,193,594. Detecting sugars. BOEHRINGER MANNHEIM G.m.b.H. 31 Jan., 1969 [2 Feb., 1968], No. 5371/69. Heading B1X. A diagnostic agent for the interference-free detection of sugars in body fluids, especially in urine, comprises an absorbent carrier, the whole of which passesses ion exchanger properties, impregnated with glucose oxidase or galactose oxidase, peroxidase and a colour forming agent. The absorbent carrier is preferably an ion exchange paper containing a buffer mixture of pH in the range of 4-7.5, the texture of the paper containing finely powdered exchanger resin with quaternary ammonium groups or p- or s-amino groups. The agent-impregnated papers are usually out in the form of 5 x 5 mm strips and may be hydrophobed using paraffin or silicone oil in an organic solvent. The absorbent carrier is preferably scaled on to strips of synthetic resin or scaled between synthetic resin foils. Specified colour-forming agents include o-tolidine, benzidine and odianisidine. |
