Zusammenfassung:	Tobacco substitute consisting of 5-95 wt.% film-forming constituent, formed of pectin-containing material with acid no. >30 mg KOH/g and 5-90 wt.% inorganic constituent, is pref. used for manufacture of burnable tobacco substitute leaves which pref. contain no natural tobacco and inorganic constituent of which contains an alkali(ne earth) metal salt or a clay, pref. tricalcium or Mg phosphate, in amount 15-30 wt.% weight tobacco substitute. Pref. film-forming constituent also contains alginic acid.
