Zusammenfassung:	Title cpds. are nuclear-hydroxylated acridanes of formula (I): (where A is lower alkylene, Q is a secondary or tertiary amino gp. R is lower alkyl, and at least one of the benzene rings is subst. by at least one OH group), which are prepd. by subjecting a cpd. carrying one or more OX groups (where X is a protecting group, e.g. methyl or benzyl) instead of the OH group(s) to a treatment in which the gp. X is eliminated and replaced by H. The products, which may be converted into acid addition salts, have anticataleptic activity and oxotremorine-antagonistic activity, and can be used for treating Parkinsonian side-effects of neuroleptic drugs.
