Zusammenfassung:	Method for extrusion coating substrates with an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer contng. up to 95% ethylene and with a melt index of 0.3-20, comprises (a) forming a solvent-free mixt. of 30-100% wt. ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and 0-70% wt. wax, (b) melting the coating mixt. in the extruder part of an extrusion coating apparatus, with a discharge line to an extrusion matrix, and (c) extruding the mixt. onto a substrate at a discharge temp. of 140-232 deg.C. for 100% copolymer, and at 88-177 deg.C. for a mixt. contng. wax as well as copolymer. The method enables extrusion coatings of ethylene vinyl acetate copolymers to be formed on substrates such as plastic film. This was previously not possible with these copolymers by previous techniques.
