Salts of arylguanamines of formula (I): (where n is a whole no. is not 2; A and B are benzene residues, and R is di(1-4C alkyl)amino, di(2-4C hydroxyalkyl)amino ar an N-linked saturated 5- or 6-membered heteromonocyclic residue in which N is linked only to C-atoms and which when 6-membered can contain O or N as a further hetero atom) are used for combatting injurious microorganisms other than in the textile industry. The salts are prepd. from the free bases in a conventional manner using acids or quaternising agentS.
