[Also in Division C2] Preparations for X-ray visualisation of body cavities comprise at least one acylamino-triiodobenzoic acid compound of the formula I where R 1 and R 1 ', are each H or C 1-5 alkyl and R 2 , R 2 ', R 3 and R 3 ' are each acyl of up to 5 carbons, A is C 3-20 alkylene substituted by one or more substituents -OR 4 , R 4 being H or alkyl or acyl of no more than 5 carbon atoms, the alkylene being optionally broken by one or more oxygen bridges, or physiologically acceptable salts thereof, in admixture with an inactive therapeutically acceptable carrier. The preparations may be in forms suitable for oral, parenteral or rectal administration.
