[Also in Division H2] A non-rotatable coupling is made between a push connecter at the end of a conductorcarrying vacuum cleaner hose and a receptacle in a cylinder-type vacuum cleaner by inserting the push connector until latch 20 engages the rim of latch-cap 21, while diametrally opposite blade terminals 13 on the conductors travel along slots 32 in the receptacle displacing protective projections 33a on insulating fingers 33 to engage leaf contacts 35 overlying the slots. As shown, the push connector comprises a metal shell 10 fitted on to insulating sleeve 14 surrounding the end of hose 11 which is internally supported by ferrule 15. Each blade 13 is held in a recess in an insulating blade holder 17 which fits into a slot in sleeve 14, a pocket 17a holding a loop of a conductor 12. A ring 18 of insulating material closes pocket 17a (see also Fig. 3, not shown) and with ferrule 15, shell 10 and flange 14b prevents movement of the blade holder.
