Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:1,154,840. Break-spinning apparatus. VYZKUMNY USTAV BAVLNARSKY. 12 July, 1966 [5 March, 1966], No. 31249/66. Heading DID. In break-spinning apparatus, the spinning- chamber 1 is enclosed in a container to provide a space 16 which communicates with the atmosphere at 30 and with the spinning chamber through apertures 7 so that reduced pressure is created in the chamber as it rotates, to ensure that substantially all the air drawn into the chamber enters through the opening through which the fibres enter the chamber, the chamber is sealed off from the air space 16 by the following arrangement. The upper edge of the chamber terminates in two annular projections; the outer one 12 engages an annular groove 13 in a cover 14 for the space, and the inner one 9 passes with small clearance into a gap between the cover 14 and the cover 20 of the chamber so as to be level with, or project beyond, the outer surface of the cover 14. Fibres reach the chamber from a chamber 25, where they are separated, through a channel 23 in the cover 20. They are collected on a surface formed where two frusto-conical surfaces of the inside of the chamber meet. They are drawn off this surface as yarn through a channel in a downwardly-extending shank 2 of the chamber, which is mounted in bearings and has a pulley 6 so that the chamber can be rotated. So that fibres accumulating as the result of the yarn breaking may be removed, the cover 20 is pivotally mounted at 22. The elevation of the inner projection 9 above the cover 14 prevents the penetration of fibres into the seal provided by the projection 12 and groove 13.
