Zusammenfassung:The invention comprises mixtures of the compounds R.CHOH.CHR1.N(R111)R11OH and R.CH(CHR1.OH)N(R111)R11OH, where R is C8- 22 saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon, R1 is hydrogen or C1- 6 saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon, R11 is C2- 6 saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon, and R111 is hydrogen, C2- 6 alkylol or C1- 6 saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon; and their preparation by reacting with HOR11NHR111 at 130 DEG -200 DEG C. in an inert atmosphere. The mixtures obtained are anti-static agents for polyolefines (see Division C3).ALSO:An anti-static agent for polyolefines, e.g. polyethylene and polypropylene, comprises a mixture of the compounds R.CHOH.CHR1.N(R111)R11OH and R.CH(CHR1OH)N(R111)R11OH, where R is C8- 22 saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon, R1 is hydrogen or C1- 6 saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon, R11 is C2- 6 saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon and R111 is hydrogen, C2- 6 alkylol or C1- 6 saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon (see Division C2). Various methods are given for incorporating the mixtures into the polyofine. The resulting compositions may be extruded, cast or moulded into various forms and articles. The compositions may also contain waxes, antioxidants, dyes, pigments and lubricants.ALSO:Paper, cloth, wire, metal foil, glass fibre mats, synthetic and natural textiles and other substrates are coated with an anti-static coating comprising a polyolefine, e.g. polyethylene and polypropylene, containing a mixture of the compounds R.CHOH.CHR1.N(R111)R11OH and R.CH(CHR1 OH)N(R111)R11 OH, where R is C8-22 saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon, R1 is hydrogen or C1-6 saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon, R11 is C2-6 saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon and R111 is hydrogen, C2-6 alkylol or C1-6 saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon (see Division C3). Other derivatives such as high-melting waxes, anti-oxidants, dyes, pigments and lubricants may be added to the coating. The coating may be applied by extrusion.
