A four-sided plastics roofing or wall tile of square, rectangular, parallelogram or curvededge (Fig. 8, not shown) form has at least two of its opposite edges folded over on opposite faces to form curved hooks 7 providing resilient interlocking between tiles, the interlocking allowing a degree of thermal expansion or other relative movement. A nailing hole 6 may be provided. The tile may be flat. curved, corrugated, profiled or embossed, and a single tile may be shaped to look like several tiles. A double-walled tile, which may be filled with glass fibre or foam plastics, may be formed by two flat tiles each formed with a wide hook and a narrow hook shaped to interfit. The joints may be secured by sticking, welding or screwing, or may be held by the resilience of the filling.
