Verwendung von neuen Nitrilen als Duftstoffe

A soap or detergent composition includes one or more perfumes of which at least one is a nitrile, or mixture of nitriles, of the formula: where R1 is methyl and R2 is or R1 is hydrogen and R2 is phenyl or n-hexyl. Specified nitriles are geranonitrile, cinnamonitrile, and 2-nonenyl nitrile, and either the pure isomers or isomeric mixtures may be used. Example 1 relates to a sodium base toilet soap made from tallow and coconut oil containing a perfume blend comprising geranium bourbon oil, citronellol, geraniol, phenyl ethyl alcohol, a -amyl cinnamic aldehyde, 4-(4-methyl, 4-hydroxy amyl)D 3-cyclohexene carboxaldehyde, cyclamen aldehyde, tetrahydro linalool, tetrahydro myrcenol, linalool, citronellyl acetate, phenyl ethyl acetate, phenyl acetaldehyde dimethyl acetal, cinnamyl alcohol, terpineol, linalyl acetate, musk ketone, indole, and geranonitrile. Example III relates to an anionic detergent powder, "Rinso" (Trade Mark), containing a perfume blend of which one constituent is geranonitrile. Examples 5 and 6 relate to soap bases, similar to that of Example 1, which contain cinnamonitrile alone or in a perfume blend. Example 7 describes a liquid detergent, an aryl sulphonate in aqueous solution, containing cinnamonitrile. The soap compositions in the examples are in the form of chips or bars.ALSO:A cosmetic or deodorant composition includes one or more perfumes of which at least one is a nitrile or a mixture of nitriles of the formula wherein R1 is methyl and R2 is CH3 CH-CH2-CH2- or R1 is hydrogen and R2 is phenyl or n-hexyl. Specified nitriles are geranonitrile, cinnamonitrile, and 2-nonenyl nitrile, and either the pure isomers or isomeric mixtures may be used. The invention also comprises a perfume containing as one of the active ingredients a mixture of cis- and trans-isomers of geranonitrile. The examples describe cosmetic powders containing (a) talc and geranonitrile; (b) talc and cinnamonitrile and (c) talc and trans-2-nonenyl nitrile together with methyl ionone. The nitriles may be used alone, for example, in sachets for use in bureaus and closets.
