[Also in Division G2] A profile projector for use with a swarfremoving or cutting machine tool 4, which is illuminated by lamps (2) or (12) forming a main beam 1, comprises in order (Fig. 4) a partially transmitting mirror 8 by means of which rays 9 from a dummy 11 of the tool, which may be a grinding disc, join beam 1, a first objective 16 consisting of two achromatic parts 14 and 15 disposed on opposite sides of a screen 23, mirrors 18 and 19, three interchangeable objectives (20), (21) and 22 of different magnifications, mirrors 24 and 25 and the screen 23. Focusing is effected by adjusting the position of the objectives (20), (21) and 22 by moving their support 32 in a guideway 33 by means of a bevel gear 34 from a hand wheel 35. Mirror 25 may be adjusted by screws 37 and the other mirrors 18, 19 and 24 are similarly adjustable.
