Zusammenfassung: | 1,044,531. Magnetic couplings. J. BAKKER and J. H. BAKKER. April 3, 1963 [April 4, 1962], No. 13245/63. Heading H2A. [Also in Division B1] A mechanical vibration generator, e.g. for vibrating armoured concrete, comprises two relatively movable bodies 1, Fig. 1, not shown, and 2 of which the first, 1, is vibrated by the magnetic attraction or repulsion between a permanent magnet or magnets 5, 6 thereon and those 7 ... 10 on the second body 2 which is driven by an external motive force, the second body magnet ends which are directed towards the first body magnet(s) all having the same polarity. In the embodiment shown, the first body 1, the " stator ", is provided with a vane for introduction between the armour parts, and the second body 2 is rotated in a suspension which at the vane end includes a ball bearing having a limited lateral movement in spaces defined by rubber blocks or a helical spring. The fields of magnets 5, 6 are concentrated by the provision of permeable plates 23 . . . 26 with the interposition of non-magnetic material to prevent short-circuiting, and those of magnets 7 . . . 10 by either similar means or making the body 2 of permeable material. In another embodiment, the second body is reciprocated via a rod and eccentric mechanism, and the magnetic field may be increased by the provision of auxiliary magnets one each side of a main magnet. |
