Zusammenfassung: | A linear amorphous polymer of an alphaolefin of formula CH2 = CHR, where R is an alkyl group of 1-4 carbon atoms, or a copolymer thereof, is vulcanized using an organic peroxide or hydroperoxide, as free radical initiator. Specified polymers are those of propylene and butene-1 or copolymers derived from at least two of the olefins ethylene, propylene and butene-1, while the copolymer may also contain a conjugated diolefin, e.g. butadiene or isoprene, or acetylene. Specified peroxides and hydroperoxides are benzoyl, chlorobenzoyl, cumyl and lauryl peroxides, the peroxides of methyl ethyl ketone and cyclohexanone, tertiary butyl peroxide, tertiary-butyl perbenzoate and cumene-, tetrahydronaphthalene-, decalin- and tertiary butyl-hydroperoxides. |
