Zusammenfassung: | 981,172. Magnetic structures. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. May 28, 1962 [June 29, 1961], No. 20503/62. Heading H1H. A permanent magnet comprises ferromagnetic whiskers of constant diameter disposed in a matrix. The whiskers may be iron cobalt, nickel, or alloys thereof and may have diameters of less than 1000 . They may be produced by evaporation using the method disclosed in Specification 978,790. The matrix may be lead, or a plastic material, e.g. polyvinylidene chloride, and a magnetic field may be applied during the removal of solvent from the matrix. The particles may have a very thin oxide coating. |
