Zusammenfassung: | 803,385. Batteries. PERTRIX-UNION G.m.b.H. Feb. 9, 1955 [Feb. 9, 1954], No. 3864/55. Class 53. The casing of a cell consists of two plastic shells 1, 2 fitting one within the other and which are formed and assembled at a temperature at which the material of the inner shell is hard and rigid and in a state of strain. The assembly is then heated to a higher temperature which releases the internal stresses and causes the edge of the inner shell to be urged outwardly into tight engagement with the outer shell. The inner shell may be made of cellulose acetate or polyvinyl chloride and. shaped by a cold drawing process which leaves the material in a state of strain. The cell shown in Fig. 3 comprises a depolarizer electrode 3 which projects through an opening in the shell 1, and a zinc electrode 4 above an opening in the shell 2. The electrodes are separated by an electrolyte carrier 5. |
