1384375 Oral hygiene compositions BEECHAM GROUP Ltd 19 April 1972 [29 April 1971 14 Dec 1971] 12099/71 and 58064/71 Heading A5B Oral hygiene compositions comprise (a) a monofluorophosphate salt and (b) a divalent metal salt of a phosphate ester of a C 1-12 polyol having 2 to 8 hydroxy groups, the weight of (a) being sufficient to provide a 0.01-1% concentration of fluorine and the weight ratio (a):(b) being between 1:1 and 1000:1. The monofluorophosphate may be sodium monofluorophosphate. The phosphate ester salt may be calcium or magnesium phytate, glycerophosphate or sucrose phosphate. Other ingredients specified include chalk, sorbitol, glycerol, magnesium aluminium silicate, calcium silicate, sodium carboxy methyl cellulose, sodium lauryl sulphate, saccharin, anticorrosive, flavouring, water, dicalcium phosphate dihydrate, silica xerogel, silica aerogel and pyrogenic silica.
