Zusammenfassung:	An adsorption material is made of brown coal, peat or saw-dust and chemically bound ammonia or an oxide of alkali(ne earth) metal or other non-ferrous metal which forms a base. The base is pref. present in an amt. of >=2%. The material is used to remove metal ions such as Zn, Cd, Pb, Ge, Hg, Mn, V, Ga, Cu, Ni, Fe, Co, Ag or Al from solns. The material with its absorbed metal can be used (eg after carbonization) as a charge for regeneration of the metal, either by controlled oxidation to remove the carbon fractions leaving a metal contg. residue or by forming volatile cpds. such as carbonyls which can be distilled off.
