| Zusammenfassung: | A propulsion system for a vessel is described which includes an intake duct and an annular duct which together define a passage which provides two 180 DEG reversals of direction. The annular duct provides a passage of increasing mean diameter and continuously decreasing interior cross section. An impeller accelerates the water by imposing dynamic and centrifugal forces thereon. Stator blades are provided to cause discharge of the water in a direction essentially straight to the rear of the boat. |
