Zusammenfassung:1344752 Purifying hexachlorophene L GIVAUDAN & CIE SA 13 April 1972 [13 April 1971] 17086/72 Heading C2C A process of removing 2,4,5-trichlorophenol from hexachlorophene comprises the step of treating a solution of hexachlorophene contaminated with 2,4,5-trichlorophenol with molecular sieves having a pore size greater than 7 Š and less than 10 Š. Solvents employed may be organic solvents or aqueous basic solutions having a pH insufficiently high to attack the molecular sieves. Examples are furnished.
