1348863 Contacting fluids in countercurrent, gas/liquid contacting apparatus CESKOSLOVENSKA AKADEMIE VED 28 April 1972 [5 May 1971] 19749/72 Headings B1F and B1R In apparatus for countercurrent contact of fluids, contact plates each have holes of two sizes, 4 and 5, Fig. 4a, and are stacked so that small holes of one plate are situated over the large holes of adjacent plates, Fig. 4b, and the plates can be placed in a reciprocable relation to the fluids, either by being mounted for reciprocable movement, Fig. 1, or by there being provided piston means 12, Fig. 2, to cause reciprocating movement of the fluids. The large holes can form a spiral path, Fig. 7b.
