Zusammenfassung:2-Substd. 4,5-(substd. phenyl)-imidazole analgesics Title cpds. of gen. formula (I), where R1 is 2-6C where R1 is 2-6C alkyl, or 3-6C cycloalkyl, Gp., R2 is VH3O-, CH3-, OH or methylsulphonyl, and R3 is CH3O- or CH3, H or Cl, and their acid addition salts are prepd. by reaction of substd. benzils of formula p-R2-C6H4C=O R3-C6H4-C=O with ammonia and formamide and an aldehyde of formula R1CHO. Other methods are described. (I) have anti-inflammatory analgesic and antipyretic props.
