Zusammenfassung:	A bonded welding composition or flux for welding or surfacing of metals which is free-peeling, essentially non-hygroscopic. The composition contains calcium carbonate as its major ingredient together with a sodium or potassium silicate binder. The flux is rendered non-hygroscopic by heating the ingredients to a temperature in the range of 1,450 DEG F. to about 1,800 DEG F.
