Zusammenfassung:	1356627 Aromatic polyamide compositions BAYER AG 15 June 1971 [11 July 1970] 27891/71 Heading C3N A basic dyeable polyamide composition comprises an aromatic polyamide and a disulphimide where R and R1 are divalent non-polyamide aromatic radicals; X is H, SO 3 Z or SO 2 NH 2 ; Y is H, or Z is H or an alkali metal atom or an alkaline earth atom also linked to the N of a further such disulphimide radical, and n is 0 to 50, the composition containing 50 to 500 mEquiv. disulphimide groups/Kg. The aromatic polyamide may be wholly aromatic or may also contain heterocyclic groups. In examples bis-(n-tolyl)- disulphimide, dinaphthyl - (1) - disulphimide, 1,3 - di - (naphthyl - (1) - disulphimido)- benzene, di-(p-chlorophenyl)-disulphimide, 1,5- di-(naphtyhl)-(1)-disulphimido)n aphthalene and a polydisulphimide are incorporated in polyamides derived from iso- or terephthalic acid chloride and various heterocycle-containing aromatic diamines such as that of the formula
