COMPOSITION FOR LUBRICATING AND/OR DESCALING IN HOT PROCESSING OF METALS

The aim of the invention is to provide a composition for lubricating and/or descaling during the hot working of metals which does not have the disadvantages observed in conventional high-temperature lubricants. For this purpose, the invention provides a composition for lubricating and/or descaling during the hot working of metals, consisting of a solid mixture that contains the following constituents: (a) 20 to 60 wt.% condensed alkaliphosphate, (b) 10 to 40 wt.% boron compound, selected from among borosilicate glass, boric acid, borate or a mixture thereof, (c) 10 to 30 wt.% alkali- or alkaline earth sulphates, (d) 5 to 25 wt.% fatty acid, salt of fatty acid or a mixture thereof, with the proviso that the sum of the constituents (a) and (b) accounts for at least 50 wt.% of the mixture and the sum of the constituents (a) to (d) accounts for at least 85 wt.% of the mixture. Le but de l'invention est de produire une composition de lubrification et/ou de décalaminage, lors du travail à chaud de métaux, qui ne présente pas les inconvénients observés dans les lubrifiants classiques à haute température. Dans ce but, l'invention concerne une composition de lubrification et/ou de décalaminage, pendant le travail à chaud de métaux, constituée d'un mélange solide qui contient les constituants suivants : (a) 20 à 60 % en poids de phosphate alcalin condensé, (b) 10 à 40 % en poids d'un composé de bore, choisi parmi le verre de borosilicate, l'acide borique, le borate ou un mélange de ceux-ci, (c) 10 à 30 % en poids de sulfates alcalins ou alcalino-terreux, (d) 5 à 25 % en poids d'acide gras, de sel d'acide gras ou d'un mélange de ceux-ci, à condition que la somme des constituants (a) et (b) représente au moins 50 % en poids du mélange et que la somme des constituants (a) à (d) représente au moins 85 % en poids du mélange.
