RIGID POLYURETHANE FOAMS COMPRISING A SILOXANE RICH NUCLEATING AGENT

The present technology provides a method of manufacturing a polyurethane foam having a low thermal conductivity from a foam formulation comprising a polyol, an isocyanate, a polyurethane catalyst, a surfactant, water, and a siloxane rich composition. The siloxane rich composition may act as a nucleating agent to reduce the cell size of the foams and may reduce its thermal conductivity. La présente technologie porte sur un procédé de fabrication d'une mousse rigide de polyuréthane ayant une faible conductivité thermique à partir d'une formulation de mousse comprenant un polyol, un isocyanate, un catalyseur de polyuréthane, un tensioactif, de l'eau et une composition riche en siloxane. La composition riche en siloxane peut agir en tant qu'agent de nucléation pour réduire la taille des cellules des mousses et peut réduire leur conductivité thermique.
