Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to a system (1) and to a method for switching high voltages with a switching path which comprises at least two serially connected switching units (2, 3). Each switching unit (2, 3) comprises at least one support element (4, 5) and elements of a kinematic chain (7) for transferring a switching movement from at least one drive (8). The support elements (4, 5) of the at least one switching unit (2, 3) are interconnected by means of at least one coupling element (10).
