Zusammenfassung:	A fiber reinforced polymer composite joining member (20) for joining sections (42, 43) of pipe together to form an elongated pipe is disclosed. A pipe joint and elongated pipe includes at least two pipe sections (42, 43) having ends that are joined together with the joining member (20) is also disclosed. The pipe joint and elongated pipe are formed by joining abutting ends of adjacent pipe sections (42, 43) with the joining member (20) without the need for the adjacent pipe sections to have other connection means, such as standard bell and spigot end connections. Also provided is a method for joining pipe sections with the joining member to make an elongated pipe. L'invention concerne un élément de liaison composite polymère renforcé de fibres (20) permettant de relier des sections (42, 43) de tuyau ensemble en vue de former un tuyau allongé. L'invention concerne également un joint de tuyau et un tuyau allongé comportant au moins deux sections de tuyau (42, 43) présentant des extrémités qui sont reliées ensemble avec l'élément de liaison (20). Le joint de tuyau et le tuyau allongé sont formés par liaison d'extrémités en butée de sections de tuyau adjacentes (42, 43) avec l'élément de liaison (20), sans la nécessité pour les sections de tuyau adjacentes d'avoir d'autres moyens de raccordement, tels que des raccordements à emboîtement et bout uni standards. L'invention concerne également un procédé permettant de relier des sections de tuyau à l'élément de liaison en vue de fabriquer un tuyau allongé.
