LUGGAGE PROCESSING STATION AND SYSTEM THEREOF

A processing station is described for registering a passenger's luggage for a trip. The processing station comprises a luggage transportation tub, an injector, a group of sensors, and a controller. The luggage transportation tub has a first shape and is adapted to receive the passenger's luggage. The injector receives the tub with the luggage therein. The group of sensors is associated with the injector and comprises at least one sensor positioned so as to allow an image of the tub with the luggage to be taken. The controller is associated with the group of sensors and is adapted to control the operation of the group of sensors. The controller compares an image taken to a database of predefined tub shapes. La station de traitement comprend un bac de transport de bagages, un injecteur, un groupe de capteurs et une commande. Le bac de transport de bagages a une première forme et est conçu pour recevoir les bagages du passager. Linjecteur reçoit le bac et les bagages à lintérieur. Le groupe de capteurs est lié à linjecteur et comprend au moins un capteur placé de manière à permettre la prise dune image du bac ayant les bagages à lintérieur. La commande est liée au groupe de capteurs et est configurée pour contrôler le fonctionnement du groupe de capteurs. La commande compare une image prise à une base de données de formes de bac prédéfinies.
