BENZOPYRAN DERIVATIVES AND USES THEREOF

This document relates to the use of a compound to treat one or more of psoriasis, hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis, Alzheimer's disease, excessive inflammation due to cytokine release, respiratory diseases, or neuronal inflammation, in which the compound has the stTucture of formula I: and wherein: each of RI, R2, R3, R4, and R5 are, independently from each other, H, OH, NO2, COOCH3, COOH, halogen, (Ci-C4) alkyl, (Ci-C4) alkenyl, (Ci-C4) alkoxy, (Ci-C4) alkyl-C00-, OCOCH3, 0(Ci-C4) alkyl, 0(Ci-C4) alkenyl, 0(C2-C4) alkoxy, 0(Ci-C4) alkyl-COO-, CN, alkyl-CONH, 0-alkyl-CONH, or an organic group; wherein, Y is: each of R6, R7, R9, and R10 are, independently from each other, H, OH, NO2, COOCH3, COOH, halogen, (Ci-C4) alkyl, (Ci-C4) alkenyl, (Ci-C4) alkoxy, (Ci-C4) alkyl-COO-, OCOCH3, 0(Ci-C4) alkyl, 0(Ci-C4) alkenyl, 0(C2-C4) alkoxy, 0(Ci-C4) alkyl-COO-, CN, or an organic group; and R8 is COOCH3. La présente invention concerne des composés utiles pour le traitement ou la prévention de troubles présentant une étiologie associée à une libération excessive de cytokines ou de chimiokines, ou comprenant celle-ci. Lesdits composés sont également utiles pour le traitement du cancer, de troubles inflammatoires et de troubles associés à une stabilité ou traduction accrue d'ARNm qui comprend une séquence d'instabilité de l'ARNm.
