L'invention concerne des procédés de stabilisation d'argiles gonflables dans une formation souterraine et des procédés de réduction de la formation de boue dans une formation souterraine à l'aide d'un tensioactif cationique à base de biopolymère. Le tensioactif cationique à base de biopolymère comprend un composé d'ammonium quaternaire ayant une ossature de polyglucoside d'alkyle et des chaînes latérales d'amino-alcool.
