The manifest file may have a time-to-live value and may be redelivered based on the time-to-live value. The method comprises a step of delivering one or more content segments from the origin server to the content delivery network. The manifest file may contain pointers to the content segments. The method comprises a step of modifying the manifest file at the origin server to include invalidation information based on an input signal. The method comprises a step of invalidating the content segments throughout the content delivery network based on the invalidation information.
