Zusammenfassung:	Disclosed are a method and apparatus for adjusting a network mode, which relate to the technical field of communication networks, and can solve the problem that a security risk exists in a home network. In the embodiments of the present invention, personnel identity information within a pre-set range is acquired, the personnel identity information comprising personnel identity features of all of the person within the pre-set range; and when it is determined that there is a non-family person within the pre-set range through the personnel identity features, a guest mode is started. The solution provided by the embodiments of the present invention is applicable to use in adjusting a mode of a router.
