CONTROL SYSTEM FOR AN AIR OPERATED DIAPHRAGM PUMP

A method of operating a pump having a housing defining a volume and a pump member separating the volume into a pumping side and a pumped side, the method includes the steps of: providing pressurized fluid from a pressure source to the pumping side of the volume, moving the pump member from a first position to a second position as a result of the pressurized fluid provided to the pumping side of the volume to move a fluid from the pumped side of the volume; and blocking the flow of pressurized fluid to the pumping side of the volume before the pump member reaches the second position. Le procédé consiste à fournir un fluide sous pression à partir dune source de pression au côté pompage du volume, à déplacer lélément de pompe dune première à une seconde position en réponse au fluide sous pression fourni au côté pompage du volume pour déplacer un fluide depuis le côté pompé du volume, et à bloquer lécoulement de fluide sous pression au côté pompage du volume avant que lélément de pompe natteigne la seconde position.
