Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to a method and a device (200, 300, 400) for closing a double-walled glass tube (206) in a vacuum-tight manner, in particular a production method for producing solar collectors. By means of a provided vacuum chamber, in which a retaining element is fastened and in which a heating conductor (202, 204, 301, 302, 401, 402) is arranged, electroconductive heating and subsequent deformation of the double-walled glass tube (206) can be achieved. No additional materials such as metal auxiliary elements or solders are needed. Simple installation in the vacuum chamber is possible and a minimal required vacuum feed-through for the current supply of a heating conductor is needed. The direct heat transfer to the double-walled glass tube (206) and the accordingly fast process control make it possible to securely close a double-walled glass tube (206) of a thermal solar collector under vacuum using simple means.
