A method for producing an atropisomer of a pyrrole derivative using a compound represented by (B) [wherein R1 represents a C1-C4 alkyl group, and R2 represents a 2-hydroxyethyl group or a carboxymethyl group] as a production intermediate. (see above formula) La présente invention porte sur un procédé pour la production d'un atropisomère d'un dérivé de pyrrole ayant un exceptionnel effet antagoniste des récepteurs des minéralocorticoïdes et sur un intermédiaire correspondant. Le procédé selon la présente invention pour la production d'un atropisomère d'un dérivé de pyrrole utilise un composé représenté par la formule (B) [dans la formule, R1 représente un groupe alkyle en C1-C4 et R2 représente un groupe 2-hydroxyéthyle ou un groupe carboxyméthyle] en tant qu'intermédiaire de production.
